The Netherlands Centre for Documentation on Automotive History (Dutch only) (NCAD) is based in Helmond and  collects, manages and makes available books, magazines, photos and other documents on the history of automobiles in the broadest sense. This means that a clear cut boundary  with other vehicles is not made: attention is also paid to motorcycles, lorries, special vehicles and road transport in general.  NCAD’s  collection is unique in the Netherlands and is one of the largest automobile archives in Europe.

The NCAD manages a total of more than 2000 metres of automotive documentation and archives that is easily accessible to a broad audience.  The NCAD manages, among other, the collections of workshop manuals, car photos and brochures of the ANWB and Olyslager.

The entire ANWB collection boasts approximately 350 metres of documents, made up of workshop manuals, press packs, FAQ handbooks, Dutch and international magazines, yearbooks, reference books, photos and sales brochures. The historical automotive documentation collection compiled by the largest association in the Netherlands since WWII includes almost all car brands and models that have ever been produced.

The Olyslager Collection consists of 300 metres of reading books, workshop manuals, press packs, FAQ handbooks, Dutch and international magazines, yearbooks, reference books, photos and sales brochures. The collection does not only accommodate generally circulated press information but also a great diversity of, for example, press clippings and technical information.
